NFL teams have until Tuesday, August 26 at 4 pm ET to get their final roster down to 53 players, and then they’ll spend the next few days adding guys to their practice squads and moving those with injuries around. There are plenty of former Eagles still vying for roster spots throughout the league, and here’s a look at who is on the move.
Roster deadline cuts
- Zach Pascal, WR, Giants
- Mario Goodrich, CB, Jets (was cut by the Broncos earlier in the preseason)
- Tyrese Robinson, OG, Steelers
Other moves and notables
- Carson Wentz visited the Vikings for a tryout on Saturday, and was signed by the team on Sunday. Wentz hasn’t been with a team all offseason after spending 2024 with the Chiefs.
Previous roster moves and injuries
- QB Nate Sudfeld was signed by the 49ers and released all within a week and with the quarterback playing any actual snaps for the team.
- Wide receiver Parris Campbell was put on the Cowboys’ season-ending IR list after a knee injury lingered throughout training camp.
- Quez Watkins is also out for the season after the Cardinals put the WR on IR with an undisclosed injury.
- The Texans brought in former Eagle to replace a former Eagle — Houston signed Jalen Mills, who has been a free agent all offseason, after C.J. Gardner-Johnson went down with an injury that will keep him sidelined a few weeks. Initial concerns were that CJGJ might miss the whole season, but testing showed it was as serious and would only keep him out a short while.
- Washington has one of the biggest collections of former Eagles, but QB Marcus Mariota is sidelined with a strained calf, and the team recently placed both TE Tyree Jackson and CB Kevon Seymour on IR with undisclosed injuries. Still, the Commanders went on to sign LB Duke Riley, WR River Cracraft, and CB Daryl Worley since the first preseason game.
- Terrell Edmunds spent last offseason on the Jaguars practice squad, but signed with the Las Vegas Raiders a week into training camp.
- Former Eagles offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo is starting the year on the Non-Football Injury list with what they are calling a soft-tissue issue.
- After a solid performance in the first preseason game — which included a sack —, the Chiefs were forced to put DE Janarius Robinson on IR with a fractured foot shortly afterward.
