The Minnesota Vikings have added a little bit to their stock of picks for the 2026 NFL Draft in recent days, and given that this is likely to change again before Tuesday’s 3:00 PM Central roster cut deadline, we should take a quick look at what Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is working with as he tries to make some moves to solidify the 53-man roster.
Here is what the Vikings currently have in terms of draft picks as things stand right now. This includes projected Compensatory picks, courtesy of Over the Cap.
- First-round pick
- Second-round pick
- Third-round pick
- Third-round pick (projected Compensatory pick for loss of Sam Darnold)
- Fourth-round pick (projected Compensatory pick for loss of Daniel Jones)
- Fifth-round pick
- Fifth-round pick (projected Compensatory pick for loss of Cam Robinson)
- Fifth-round pick (acquired from Eagles in Sam Howell trade)
- Seventh-round pick
- Seventh-round pick (acquired from Houston Texans in Cam Akers trade)
The team traded away its own fourth-round pick as part of the Cam Robinson trade from last season. The extra seventh-round pick from the Texans appears to be a part of last year’s Cam Akers trade, as is the loss of one of their sixth-round picks for this year.
The Vikings had acquired a sixth-round pick from the Texans in the deal that sent Ed Ingram to Houston, but then turned around and used that pick to acquire Jordan Mason from the San Francisco 49ers. They also sent another sixth-round pick to the Eagles in the Howell trade, a pick that they had just acquired in the Harrison Phillips trade, which explains the lack of sixth-round picks on the list.
I think that’s all the different trades figured in. Between asking Alec Lewis of The Athletic a bit ago and digging around to do my own research, that’s what I’ve come up with.
So, unless I’m way off on a couple of things, the Vikings are currently sitting on ten picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, or twice as many as they had in this past April’s selection meeting. The comp picks aren’t official yet, but as I’ve said before, Nick Korte at Over the Cap seems to have a real handle on how the NFL works that process, and that’s what he has the Vikings with for now. That may be subject to change.
In any event, if Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is looking to wheel and deal over the next 48 hours or so, he has sufficient ammunition to do just that.
