It’s time for another look at some of the odds surrounding the Minnesota Vikings as we get closer to our friends at FanDuel celebrating Futures Day on Tuesday, and this one has to do with everyone’s favorite wide receiver.
The folks at FanDuel have set the over/under for receiving yards for Justin Jefferson. . .still the best wide receiver in the National Football League. . .at 1250.5 for this season.
In his five seasons in the National Football League, Jefferson has only failed to eclipse that number one time. That came in 2023, when he missed nearly half the season due to a hamstring injury (and still managed to go over 1,000 yards despite that). In his other four NFL seasons, he has never had fewer than 1,400 yards in a season and has gone over 1,500 yards three times.
It’s not as if Jefferson has been playing with slouches at the position over the years, either. He had Adam Thielen across from him for his first three seasons (and may be looking at that scenario again), and Jordan Addison has emerged as a big-time receiver over the past couple of seasons. Still, Jefferson continues to get his catches and pile up the yardage.
