Giants-Patriots final score: Giants rout New England, 42—10

Jaxson Dart threw a touchdown pass on the opening drive of the game, Tommy DeVito added two more scoring strikes in the second half, and the New York Giants closed out the preseason with a 42-10 rout of the New England Patriots on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants (3-0) used the game to showcase depth across the roster, with both Dart and DeVito impressing in extended action. Dart, the rookie first-round pick, opened the scoring by hitting Gunner Olszewski on a 50-yard catch-and-run before finding Greg Dulcich in the end zone to cap off the drive. Later, veteran Jameis Winston connected with Jalin Hyatt for a 30-yard score to give New York a 14-0 lead.

DeVito took over after halftime and immediately led three straight touchdown drives. He went 17 of 20 for 198 yards and three touchdowns, including a red-zone strike to Thomas Fidone, a 41-yard screen to Jonathan Ward and a 1-yard pass to Greg Dulcich.

New England (0-3) struggled offensively with rookie Ben Wooldridge at quarterback. Wooldridge finished 10 of 24 for 87 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions — one of which was returned 44 yards for a touchdown by Giants cornerback T.J. Moore.

The Patriots’ lone touchdown came late in the first half when Wooldridge lofted a 10-yard pass to Jeremiah Webb, briefly cutting the deficit to 14-10 before the Giants rattled off 28 unanswered points.
