The preseason is almost over as the Cincinnati Bengals prepare for their final game before the games start to mean something. Trey Hendrickson has still not broken his hold-in, nor have the Bengals agreed to his terms (or he’d be out there). The Bengals have lost one of their guards, who has been a thorn in the team’s side, for the entire season, and are hopefully going to be signing Dalton Risner soon, but that’s hopeful with a lower-case “h.”
Last year, the Bengals had an All-Star offense, just like they do this year. Sadly, they also had a terrible defense. While the jury’s still officially out, the whispers around the scuttlebutt aren’t good. They’ve been bad in two games (that don’t matter), and it’s making many outside the building nervous.
Las Vegas isn’t completely sold by what the Bengals have been able to do this offseason, but, according to the FanDuel Sportsbook’s latest odds, they still believe the team is more likely than not to make the playoffs.
FanDuel has the Bengals at -148 (meaning you’d have to put up $148 to win $100 for a total payout of $248) to make the playoffs, and they’re +118 (bet $100 to win $118 for a $218 payout) to miss. If you were to break that down into a percentage, Vegas believes the Bengals have around a 60% chance to play in the postseason and a 46% chance to miss.
