The Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers treated us to a handful of drives of first-team football. What more can you ask for in Week 2 of the preseason?
Whether it was Brock Purdy hitting Ricky Pearsall with regularity, Brock Bowers reeling in a deep shot from Geno Smith or Ashton Jeanty trucking naive defenders, the 49ers and Raiders put on an early show.
Field goals were aplenty, accounting for 27 of the teams’ combined 41 points in the 49ers’ last-second 22-19 win over the Raiders, capped by Jake Moody‘s 59-yard field goal.
PFF’s dedicated team of graders was hard at work, analyzing every player on every play in real time. The comprehensive grades and data will be available after a thorough review tomorrow at 12 p.m. EST.
In the meantime, we’ve gathered some high-level data and snap counts from the game to give you an early look. Our expert graders have also nominated the standout player of the game, highlighting exceptional performance on the field.

PLAYER OF THE GAME
Brock Bowers played only seven snaps, but he takes the player of the game title for his sensational leaping grab on a Geno Smith deep ball. It was nothing new for Bowers, who led all tight ends in contested catches and earned a 99.5 PFF receiving grade on deep passes in 2024.
