As reigning Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles will open their NFL preseason at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni wouldn’t say whether the starters would get any snaps on Thursday night, only noting that they practiced three days in a row and workloads would be a factor in those decisions.
Still, even without Jalen Hurts and Co. out on the field, there’s plenty to be excited about. Tanner McKee is expected to look good as QB2, and we’ll get a chance to see some of the wide receiver depth behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
On defense, there are a lot of young players who can put their development on display, particularly with their tackling technique. Even in pads, players aren’t tackling to the ground during training camp, so these preseason games serve as an important evaluation opportunity for coaches.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
