The Miami Dolphins are in the final preparation for their trip to Illinois to practice with, then play against, the Chicago Bears this weekend. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill was not on the practice field on Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury. The Dolphins are likely to be overly cautious with any injury to their Pro Bowl wideout, who struggled throughout much of the 2024 season with a wrist injury.
Multiple reporters reported the missed practice at the team’s training facility on Wednesday – with the South Florida Sun Sentinel’s Chris Perkins among the first to make the report.
Hill had surgery on his wrist following last season after playing through the issue. He then had a second procedure to remove screws that had been inserted. The issue caused him problems throughout the season, leading to him missing the Pro Bowl for the first time in his nine-year career.
He finished the season with 959 yards and six touchdowns – well below his 2023 marks of 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, both of which led the league.
Miami’s practice on Wednesday is not open to the public. The team will practice with the Bears on Friday at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois. The two teams will then open their preseason schedule with a matchup at Soldier Field on Sunday.
