Fantasy Football: Overpriced stacks for 2025

- Why stacks matter in fantasy football: Stacking multiple players from the same offense is a great way to create positive correlation on your fantasy roster.
- The Bengals’ offense is potent but overpriced: The unit has one of the highest ceilings in football, but the core players — Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Chase Brown — carry steep prices.

Elite QB: Cincinnati Bengals
When a team’s top two receivers are often drafted in the first two rounds and their starting running back also goes near the two-to-three turn, it’s hard to be an underpriced stack. And that’s what we’re seeing with the Cincinnati Bengals this fantasy draft season.
Ja’Marr Chase has earned his spot as the consensus No. 1 overall pick in best ball drafts after an incredible start to his career, but it just takes an injury to him or his quarterback, or a fully healthy season from Tee Higgins, for Chase not to pay off that price tag. And while Higgins excelled down the stretch last season, he has played in only 24 games over the past two seasons and is often banged up on the injury report.
Running back Chase Brown should see a good workload again this year after the Bengals didn’t add much backfield competition in the offseason, but he ranked 29th out of 47 qualifying running backs in PFF rushing grade last season and 20th in yards after contact per attempt.
We know Joe Burrow has an incredible ceiling as a passer, but he rushed for just 11.8 yards per game and two touchdowns last year, which is far behind the quarterbacks who are being taken in the elite tier this summer. While Cincinnati’s offense should put up good numbers again in 2025, it’s tough to justify the prices on their top weapons in fantasy drafts.
