Bengals EDGE Trey Hendrickson reports to training camp
Cincinnati Bengals edge defender Trey Hendrickson reported to camp Wednesday after sitting out the first week, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Hendrickson was being fined $50,000 for every practice he skipped, so his decision to return to camp should not come as a surprise. While the All-Pro was present, he was in street clothes and didn’t participate in any activities, turning the holdout into a “hold-in” situation.
Hendrickson is coming off his best year as a pro, leading the NFL with 17.5 sacks and tying Garrett with 83 quarterback pressures, his fourth consecutive season with 70 or more. His 20.0% pass-rush win rate tied Nick Bosa for the third-best mark in the league.
Ravens TE Isaiah Likely suffers a small foot fracture
Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely suffered a “small foot fracture” at the end of practice Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The injury is expected to keep Likely out of action for the next six weeks following surgery. His Week 1 status is in question, but he is not expected to miss much time, if any, in the regular season.
In Mark Andrews (83.1 PFF overall grade) and Likely (75.6), the Ravens had two of the NFL’s seven highest-graded tight ends last season. The 25-year-old Likely is an ascending player and is coming off an excellent season in which he caught 49 of 65 targets for 603 yards and seven touchdowns with just one drop (including the playoffs).
Dolphins CB Kader Kohou will be placed on injured reserve and miss the 2025 season
Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou suffered a season-ending knee injury in Saturday’s practice and will miss the entire 2025 season, according to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques.
It’s yet another injury for an already depleted Dolphins secondary. The team lost cornerback Artie Burns to a torn ACL last week, while safety Ashtyn Davis went down with a foot injury Tuesday and returned in a walking boot.
Kohou has been a reliable player since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022, playing 2,662 snaps over that span. His 68.9 PFF coverage grade in 2024 ranked 35th out of 116 qualifying cornerbacks, and he played his best ball down the stretch, allowing just 56 yards on 17 targets over the final four games of the season.
The Dolphins recently signed cornerbacks Jack Jones and Mike Hilton to help fill the void, but they will enter the season with some serious concerns about their depth in the secondary.
Bills CB Maxwell Hairston week-to-week after suffering a sprained knee
Buffalo Bills rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston is considered week-to-week after suffering a knee sprain, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Hairston went down with a non-contact injury Tuesday but appears to have avoided anything serious. Buffalo selected Hairston out of Kentucky with the 30th-overall pick in this year’s draft. He had a strong 2023 season (81.8 PFF overall grade) but missed most of 2024 due to injury.
The Bills needed a high-caliber cornerback opposite Christian Benford, who has ranked among the NFL’s top 10 cornerbacks in PFF overall grade in each of the past two years. Hairston’s length and tackling ability at the position make him a strong candidate to feature opposite Benford, even as a rookie.
