Hicks is retiring at the age of 33 after a decade-long career in the NFL
On Friday, former Vikings linebacker Jordan Hicks announced his retirement from the NFL at the age of 33. Hicks most recently played for the Cleveland Browns in 2024 and was set to play one more year with the team before calling it quits.

At the ripe age of 30, Hicks joined the Vikings as a free agent prior to the 2022 season. He started all 17 games in his first year in Minnesota, totaling 129 tackles to go with two tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, and 10 pass breakups.
In his second season with the Vikings, Hicks started another 13 games, posting 107 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, five pass breakups, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries with one returned for a score.
While Hicks wasn’t the flashiest of players, he gave the Vikings 30 games of consistent play at an unsung position in today’s NFL. We wish him nothing but the best as he ventures off into the next chapter of his life!
