The highlights and most notable news from Day 1 of training camp.
Training camp is finally here. We get to see the Cincinnati Bengals actually on the field rather than talking about how they’ll fit.
Still, there are no pads at this stage, and there is little to no contact. So don’t go convincing yourself that anything from today will make or break the season. It’s nice to see these guys actually out there practicing.

The Bengals have come a long way from their media cart days. The new conference room looks fitting of a professional football team.
“Everything I’ve seen from Dax has been awesome right now.” Zac Taylor on Dax Hill and his ramp up to start camp. Will pull him back on some days of camp to make sure he’s not overloading him in his return to the field.

Zac Taylor says Trey Hendrickson and Shemar Stewart will not be distractions “it’s nothing for us”, Zack Moss will begin on NFI list. pic.twitter.com/Vt9jUIE3Qd

Zac Taylor told us the they would cross train Lucas Patrick at center as well as right guard
Today, he starts at center with the 2s. Looks like they’ll mix it up with him during camp #Bengals

Some of the noteworthy things to take away from Taylor’s opening presser are that Dax Hill looks like he will start training camp relatively healthy. They’ll just be watching the amount of work they’re giving him. Zach Moss starting on NFI. Lucas Patrick is also getting work at center and guard through camp.

This is the most physical non-padded Bengals practice I’ve seen. Obviously no tackling, but there’s some real contact today.
