Big yikes.
During Monday’s media luncheon, Bengals owner Mike Brown expressed optimism that the team would get a deal done with Trey Hendrickson.
You’ll be stunned to hear that Brown was apparently selling BS, again.
According to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Bengals’ recent contract talks with Hendrickson were anything but productive. Schultz noted that the talks get “very contentious” before Hendrickson ultimately left town and is now training in Florida, where he has an offseason residence.
Making this even more painful to stomach is the fact that Hendrickson said he was willing to take less to get a deal done, according to ESPN’s Diana Russini, but the Bengals’ recent offers were nothing short of insulting.
