Camp is almost here, who do you want to watch the most?
The New York Giants 2025 training camp is almost upon us.
Not only is real football almost back, but we’re just a week away from the 2025 Giants team starting to take shape.
Whether it’s a breath of fresh air around the offense, or optimism surrounding (what could be) a fantastic Giants’ defense, there’s more excitement for the team than at any time in recent memory. The Giants will be getting All Pro caliber players back from injury in Andrew Thomas and Dexter Lawrence, as well as two new veteran quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.
This week, however, we want to know which of the young players you’re looking forward to watching the most. After all, they’re the future of the franchise, and if the Giants are to have sustained success it’s because they built a young core over the last couple years.
A) QB Jaxson Dart – Brian Daboll is incredibly excited about Dart, and not just because he and Joe Schoen have hung their reputations on the young man. Dart was one of the most prolific passers in the country last year and put his name in the Ole Miss record books alongside Eli and Arch Manning. How hard can he push the veterans as a rookie?
B) Edge Abdul Carter – Carter was right there with Travis Hunter and Mason Graham in the conversation for best player in the 2025 NFL Draft. He joins a crowded defensive front, but has already garnered praise from the Giants’ coaches for his instinctive ability to win as a pass rusher. How he gets incorporated into the defense — and just how good the Giants’ defense could be — will be a huge storyline this year.
C) WR Malik Nabers – The Giants drafted Nabers to be a game-changing offensive weapon last year, and he responded with a fantastic rookie year despite an injured and dysfunctional offense. How good can he be with (hopefully) improved quarterback play and a much more aggressive offensive scheme?
D) CB Deonte Banks – Banks is the biggest question mark on the Giants’ defense. They should be good almost regardless of his play, but Big Blue’s defense has the potential to be among the very best in the NFL if Banks can take the next step in his development. He has all the tools to be a very good cornerback, he just needs to put it all together. Will he make the jump in camp?
