Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 7/15/25
JB and Turf Show Times covered the fact that rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson has yet so sign his rookie contract, and I believe he’s one of many second round picks waiting to sign. It’s an interesting development and I assume it’ll get resolved, but who knows?
In the meantime, there are predictions being made (see below) that Ferguson could be in for a big year, and as a Rams fan, sure I want to believe it, but as a realist is Ferguson really going to have a breakout campaign Year One? I don’t know, let’s see the contract get resolved first.
Then let’s see if Ferguson gets real playing time, then let’s see if he has a memorable rookie campaign.
In the meantime, comment on whatever you want, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Tuesday!
Los Angeles Rams Insider Makes Bold Rookie Prediction Based On Coming Scheme Change (lafbnetwork)
“Daniel Kelley of FTN recently predicted that Ferguson will finish the season as the NFL’s most productive rookie tight end, citing his clean path to early playing time: “He only has to jump Tyler Higbee in an offense that throws a lot but lacks much pass-catching depth.”
ESPN’s Ben Solak went further, projecting Ferguson will take over as the starter by Week 5 and finish with 63 catches, 821 yards, and six touchdowns — second on the team behind Puka Nacua. That’s Offensive Rookie of the Year-level production.”
NFL Coordinator Explains Why Matthew Stafford is a Top Quarterback (heavy.com)
“Players come and go in Los Angeles, but Stafford makes it all work, a truly scheme-transcendent quarterback.”
Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes, a two-time NFL MVP, was ranked No. 1 for the third consecutive season. Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow came in at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Stafford was ranked No. 5 last season.”
