The former UDFA spent time with the Titans and Seahawks, and now we’ll see if he’ll add the Bengals to that list.
The Cincinnati Bengals are on summer break, but training camp is fast approaching and the team still have one open roster spot left. However, that could change soon.
According to KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson, the Bengals are set to host a workout for free agent defensive tackle Kyon Barrs. After playing the majority of his college career at Arizona and one year at USC, Barrs was signed by the Titans in 2023 as an undrafted free agent. He was cut before camp, briefly landed with the Seahawks and appeared throughout the preseason—logging significant reps at nose tackle. Seattle, however, released him in early September, and Barrs remained unsigned through the 2023 regular season.
In 2024, he turned to the UFL, where he became a full-time starter for the Arlington Renegades, finishing the spring with 23 tackles and a sack across 10 games.
The Bengals re-signed B.J. Hill and drafted Kris Jenkins and McKinnley Jackson, while also adding T.J. Slaton Jr. and a few undrafted rookies to reinforce the interior. But after releasing Germaine Pratt, they now have a roster spot to spare—and if Barrs impresses, he could be the latest reinforcement for a position group that has seen its share of wear and tear.
