Bengals playmakers ranked among NFL’s best

Once again, this offensive unit is set to be special.

The NFL season is quickly approaching as the Cincinnati Bengals look to make some noise after a down year in the Queen City.

With a new-look defense, one thing that has remained the same is this offensive unit. Some new names have been added to the offensive line, but overall, the playmaking of the Bengals offense remains elite. That is why they received a ranking among the best in the league.

Bill Barnwell of ESPN recently released his ranking of the top playmaking units in the NFL, and the Bengals clocked in at No. 3 overall. The Philadelphia Eagles landed the top spot, while the Detroit Lions landed at No. 2.

The leader of that group? Ja’Marr Chase.

“Welcome back, Ja’Marr Chase. After an injury-impacted 2022 season and a merely very good 2023 campaign, he won the receiving triple crown in 2024,” Barnwell writes. “Chase led the league in routes, which helped boost those counting stats, but he averaged a robust 2.5 yards per route run and was a big-play factory. He had seven receiving touchdowns of 40 yards, three more than any other player and the most since Jordy Nelson had seven in 2014. Asking Chase to do that every year is a lot, but the 25-year-old did have six of them as a rookie, so if anyone can do it, it’s him.”

Chase and Joe Burrow have the chemistry, but it is players like Tee Higgins and Chase Brown that really help push this group forward. Add in another solid year from the tight ends, and the offense has plenty of scoring options.

Now let’s hope the defense can stop someone.
