How much can the Giants’ offense improve this year?
The New York Giants defense has gotten a lot of love lately.
To be fair, it’s for good reason and the Giants’ investments on the defensive side of the ball have resulted in a young and talented squad that could be among the best in the NFL. At least on paper.
But what about the offense?
The Giants’ offense has been among the worst in the NFL for years now, and one of the biggest predictors of sustained success is offensive production. The Giants made the biggest changes at the quarterback position we have seen this century and also have a number of young players they hope to mature.
The Giants are hoping that sum total of adding Russell Wilson, retaining Darius Slayton, and the maturation of Malik Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, and Theo Johnson is a more explosive offense.
Considering Giants’ offense averaged just 15.6 points per game (including their offensive outburst against the Indianapolis Colts), and had the second fewest explosive passes last year.
This week we want to know if you think the Giants can climb out of the basement, and if so, how explosive can they be?
A) No, they are who they are (bottom quartile)
B) A bit – 20 points per game, 45 explosive passes (second quartile)
C) At least average – 24 points per game, 60 explosive passes (third quartile)
D) Offense is back! – 28 points per game, 75 explosive passes (top quartile)
