Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 7/1/25
For a while the Los Angeles Rams were rumored to be adding Jalen Ramsey, but he went to the Pittsburgh Steelers, so what will the next big rumor involving the Los Angeles Rams be?
It appears the next rumor might be that the Rams are willing to trade a tight end to the Miami Dolphins, but do you have any ideas? Any guesses of any other players the Rams may want to trade for?
Would love to hear from you! Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Tuesday! Looking forward to the weekend.
The #Dolphins are now in conversations with multiple teams about acquiring a tight end after sending Jonnu Smith to Pittsburgh, per sources.

With Dolphins now seeking TE help, could Rams be a viable trade partner? (ramswire)
“Shortly after dealing away Smith, it was reported that the Dolphins are now in talks with multiple teams about trading for a tight end. No specific teams were mentioned, but it would make sense if the Rams were involved in these discussions.
After drafting Terrance Ferguson in the second round, some of their other tight ends have become expendable. For one, Colby Parkinson could be a logical trade candidate. According to Over The Cap, he has a cap hit of $9.8 million this year but if the Rams were to trade him, they would save $7.75 million in cap room, leaving behind only $2.1 million in dead money.”

Rams caught napping again as another elite DB slips through their fingers (ramblinfan)
“Are the Los Angeles Rams that confident in their secondary that they were willing to let a chance to reunite with former All-Pro defensive back Jalen Ramsey slip through their fingers? Whether intentional or not, that is what transpired as the Rams failed in trade talks with the Miami Dolphins to land Ramsey.
And so, the Rams did not add a veteran defensive back to the secondary. That is not the case for the suddenly deal-happy Pittsburgh Steelers, a team that has repeatedly made NFL headlines with their willingness to sign and trade for the most recognizable veterans in the NFL. And they just added one more.”

Rams’ Roster Weak Spots Exposed in 2026 NFL Mock Draft (si.com)
“With the 24th overall pick, the Rams select Isaiah World, OT, Oregon.
“Isaiah World is an enormous presence at offensive tackle with surprising flexibility for his 6’8″, 300+ pound build. The Rams have needed younger options on their offensive line for some time, and World provides them with that option.”
While it’s clear it’s way too soon to be looking at who the Rams might draft, it does illustrate the fact that Les Snead and the front office did not make any meaningful additions at the positions Jackson and World play.”

Watch: Jared Goff gets emotional talking about Rams-Lions trade on ‘Quarterback’ show (sports.yahoo)
“No matter how long ago that blockbuster trade was, it won’t soon be forgotten – especially not by Goff. In a sneak peek of the upcoming season of “Quarterback” on Netflix, Goff talked about the deal and how he felt “wanted” by the Lions. He couldn’t say the same about his time with the Rams.
Goff opened up about his first conversations with Campbell and Holmes, which helped him go from feeling down on himself to excited about this next opportunity.
“It kind of brought me from this moment of, like, picking up the pieces to, like, reinvigorated with this energy of, like, ‘Oh, this is what it feels like to truly be wanted and have these guys behind you.’ And I hadn’t felt that in quite some time,” Goff said.”
