All aboard on Germaine Pratt hype train
This one was about as easy as they come.
A day after he was released by the Cincinnati Bengals, we asked our community members if they though the Las Vegas Raiders, who were lacking at the position, should sign Pratt, who was a Bengals’ team captain .
The early results were overwhelmingly in favor of the idea. Then, less than three hours after the poll posted, news broke that the Raiders and Pratt agreed to a one-year contract.
And the yes voters kept on coming.
About 95 percent of the votes are in favor of adding Pratt. And why not? This was an easy one.
The team saw starters Robert Spillane (New England Patriots) and Divine Deablo (Atlanta Falcons) leave in free agency. The Raiders replaced them with veterans Elandon Roberts and Devin White, who both signed one-year contracts. Now, Pratt, 29, joins the new-look unit.
He has 88 started in six NFL seasons and he had a combined 261 tackles in the past two seasons. He is definitely a starting quality player.
Really, there’s nothing not to like about this addition.
