Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …

Rams’ Jared Verse changes tune, says Eagles have best opposing fan base: ‘I’ve got to give them that’ – NFL.com
It’s never too late to change your tune. Rams pass rusher Jared Verse did just that recently, giving Eagles fans their props months after drawing their ire ahead of a Divisional Round matchup. “Probably the Eagles,” Verse told Whistle Sports in an interview when asked to name the NFL’s best opposing fan base. “I’ve got to give them that. I like when you kind of like get into it, you’re aggressive, you’re loud and all that stuff. They stand by that with no doubt.” Verse wasn’t so complimentary in January, when the rookie pass rusher bluntly expressed his distaste for the Philly faithful. […] Not done with his praise, Verse also called Philly’s crowd the toughest to play in front of in the NFL. “Playing the Eagles is like playing your rival in college,” he said. “You never know what they’re going to say and they’re gonna try to say disrespectful stuff. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not gonna say anything where you’re like, ‘Bro, you crossed a line,” but they’re gonna say some stuff where you’re like, ‘Who you talkin’ to?’”

Eagles schedule preview: Denver Broncos – BGN
The Eagles play nine teams that made the playoffs last year. Not all nine will make it this year. The Broncos feel like easy money to be one of them. A losing record by Denver shouldn’t be a surprise.

I just realized a Giants fan owes $500 to a charity of my choice – PhillyVoice
Because I’m a BIG J journalist and do not have a dog in the fight, I do not benefit in any way from him posting a picture of himself in an Eagles jersey. I instead proposed that if the Giants win it all with Jones as the starting quarterback, I’ll donate $500 to a charity of his choosing, and he has to donate $500 to a charity of mine if the Eagles win with Hurts. That way perhaps some underprivileged folks can benefit from a dumb email fight. He accepted this counteroffer. This felt like a completely risk-free bet on my part, knowing that Daniel Jones wasn’t ever going to win a Super Bowl as the Giants’ starter. The lawyer’s end of the bet carried far more risk, and, well, in case you missed it, the Eagles indeed won a Super Bowl with Hurts.

The Eagles’ Super Bowl Champions bus tours around the Philadelphia area this weekend. Here’s where to see it. – CBS Sports
The World Champions Bus from the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX championship parade is touring around the Philadelphia region this weekend. The next NFL season is still months away, but this bus from the parade gives fans an opportunity to pose like their favorite Eagles player and relive February’s championship glory.

Where Are They Now? DE Brandon Bair – PE.com
While driving to work one morning in early May, he saw a moving train hit a semi-truck and cause an instant explosion. Bair ran to the truck and pulled the driver out through a rear window, and within seconds of them getting away, the cab and everything in it went up in flames. “My office is right across the highway from where it happened,” Bair says. “It gets brought up quite a bit and I always tell everybody that, ‘The Lord wanted him alive, because there’s no way he should have been. And no way that I should have been able to do what I did.’ So there’s a pretty big miracle on his behalf. I’m just grateful that he’s alive and doing well.” Bair’s actions were recognized when the Carnegie Hero Foundation presented him with the Carnegie Medal, which the Foundation describes as North America’s highest honor for civilian heroism. “This isn’t something that somebody chooses to do,” Bair says. “It’s not like I go driving into situations like this all the time for the heck of it, right? It happened to be in a place where the Lord needed me to be, to save this guy’s life at the moment. Those kinds of things … I mean, I appreciate the recognition and the things that they’re saying about it, but it’s not as important as that guy’s alive.”

Can the Vikings Trade for Jalen Ramsey to Win a Super Bowl? Financial Strategy Explored! – Daily Norseman
Tyler Forness with producer Dave Stefano on Vikings 1st & SKOL dive into the salary cap strategy that could mirror the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl success. This episode explores how option bonuses and cash-over-cap spending reduce cap hits over time, enabling the Vikings to build a championship roster. With Ramsey’s contract as a case study, Forness and Stefano analyze the feasibility of adding the Miami Dolphins’ star cornerback to bolster the Vikings’ secondary.

Cowboys 2025 opponent preview: X-factors for the Philadelphia Eagles – Blogging The Boys
Cam Jurgens, Center: Originally known as the replacement for Jason Kelce, Cam Jurgens has stepped out of the shadow of Kelce and carved out a pretty decent name for himself. Jurgens took over as the Eagles’ starting center after Kelce announced his retirement after the 2023 season. As expected, the Eagles continued using the Tush Push after Kelce’s retirement and for Jurgens and the Eagles, it’s been business as usual. It has been reported that last season, the Eagles converted 39 of their 48 attempts on the play for a success rate of 81.3%. After a solid campaign last year, Jurgens was named to the Pro Bowl and rewarded with a new 4-year, $68M contract. To beat the Eagles, the Cowboys have to be ready to stop this play with Jurgens front and center. That said, Dallas also has to stop the Eagles from running the football on first and second down as well to deter the Eagles from doing the Tush Push in the first place. Dallas understands their shortcomings with stopping the run and how much their defensive tackles need to hold up in that area. Per PFF, Jurgens graded out with a 68.5 run-blocking grade among centers. However, Jurgens isn’t nearly as effective as a pass blocker For Dallas to win, Jurgens has to be disrupted and prevented from seeing success in what he does best, reaching the second level of the defense. Jurgens is still a young player gaining playing experience. We’ll see if Matt Eberflus calls some twists or stunts to try to confuse Jurgens in pass protection.

Do the Giants have enough defensive backs who can actually cover? – Big Blue View
The low repeatability of defensive back success is a scary prospect for the Giants, who will see A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel, CeeDee Lamb, and George Pickens twice each this year. Much of the attention in New York will be focused on Paulson Adebo, one of the Giants’ major free agent signings. Adebo’s career, like the other cornerbacks discussed above, has been somewhat checkered in PFF’s eyes.

Aaron Rodgers is once again thinking about retirement – SB Nation
Here we go. Again. After weeks of speculation, Aaron Rodgers finally let the world know where he was going to play football next season, signing a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. If you thought, however, that would be the end of Rodgers news this summer you would be wrong. Because the veteran quarterback made his latest stop on ”The Pat McAfee Show” Tuesday and outlined that this will be his last season, and that there was “no better way to finish it out than with Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers.” Of course, he did so with the quintessential Rodgers room for movement.
