21. Malik Nabers. Can you remember who threw passes for the Giants in 2024? It didn’t really matter for Nabers, whose electricity at LSU translated to the pro stage to the tune of 109 catches and 1,209 yards. A sideline magician with home-run burst, he stands to benefit from Russell Wilson’s play-action deep shots as the face of Big Blue’s offense.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. happy to have multiple leaders at QB in Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston | NFL.com
“I think the first thing that you want to pick out is that the leadership in the room will really help out everybody in the locker room and on the team,” Tracy said on Friday during an appearance on Good Morning Football. “Obviously, you’ve got Russ, Mr. Unlimited. Then, you’ve got Jameis — he’s the one that has the personality. He can really connect with everybody on the football team. And then you’ve got Jaxson Dart, Mr. Cool Dude, coming in with the swagger, kind of that Italian vibe but he’s not Italian. … Don’t forget about (Tommy) DeVito.
“They bring a lot of different pieces that we need. I also think, again, with Russ, he brings that leadership to where he’s more vocal, he’s speaking up, he’s letting people know where we’re going, and everyone’s on the same train. That’s what we need as a football team.”

What has been the most underrated move by your team? Signing cornerback Paulson Adebo. He’s not a household name but at least gives the Giants a proven player at the position. That’s something they didn’t have last season, and it backfired in the worst way. Thrust into the No. 1 cornerback role by default, 2023 first-round pick Deonte Banks had a mess of a season, allowing six touchdowns as the nearest defender, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. Adebo’s arrival allows Banks to fall back into a more realistic supporting role. And if that doesn’t work out, Cor’Dale Flott, who has started 23 games over the past three seasons, can step into the lineup. The Giants have a significantly better defensive backfield after the signing of Adebo and safety Jevon Holland. It’s going to be needed with the teams in this division loaded at wide receiver.
2025 NFL season: Every team’s potential breakout player | USAToday.com
Giants fans have been waiting for the Jalin Hyatt breakout since the moment he was drafted in 2023, but not only has it not come, he’s regressed. There were reports that he clashed with the front office and coaching staff a year ago, and he could have come into this offseason sulking. Instead, he dedicated himself to the game and taking care of his body, putting on 15-20 pounds of muscle. He’s more engaged in meetings, has developed a strong rapport with quarterback Russell Wilson (including private workouts), and dazzled throughout the offseason workout program. It’s now or never for Hyatt, and he appears determined to make the most of his last opportunity.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter Reveals Chances Jaxson Dart Could Start for New York Giants | SI.com
ESPN’s Adam Schefter weighed in on the buzz surrounding the former Ole Miss star.
“The Giants would like to be as patient as they can with their rooking first round draft pick Jaxson Dart,” Schefter said recently. “And go with Russell Wilson. “But, let’s keep in mind that once before Brian Daboll and the Giants’ general manager Joe Schoen was in Buffalo and the plan there was to be very patient with Josh Allen, and he was called on to start a lot sooner than anybody expected.”
“Now, we’re not saying that Jaxson Dart is Josh Allen. We’re just saying that they can have a plan to go with Russell Wilson,” Schefter said. “But plans sometimes change. That will depend on Russell Wilson, how well he plays, how much this team wins, and how patient this whole entire organization can be.”
Cam Skattebo carries an ‘underdog mentality’ | Giants.com
“His lateral quickness is something people don’t understand, and especially from his contact,” said Arizona State running backs coach Shaun Aguano. “When he makes contact, his separation from the contact is elite, as well, because he’s a strong, strong kid with a good core. But again, lateral quickness, they think that he’s going to get hit and next thing you know, we call it “Skat runs.” It’s supposed to be 3-4 yards because somebody filled it. The next thing you know, he’s gone for 20-25 yards because he made an explosive (play).”
