Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 6/27/25
Is Matthew Stafford a top-30 quarterback of all time? There’s no question he’s a top-30 quarterback in the league as of today, but of all time? You tell me. I trust your opinion.
I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and a list like this is totally subjective, but it’s fun! And in the dead of June, I’ll take and use any story, topic or article I can for a Random Ramsdom, and this does make for a good topic. I can only hope you’ll agree and share your thoughts in the comments below!
But if you do keep your thoughts to yourself, I get it. I don’t comment enough so no judgement here.
Thank you for checking out Turf Show Times! I get to do this because of you. If you are reading this, then this one for you!

Rams superstar quarterback named top 30 QB of all time (sportingnews)
“For the longest time, Stafford was a Michelin-star chef in a dive bar. His talents were evident throughout the entirety of his career, but his feet were stuck to the floor known as the Detroit Lions of the late 2000s and 2010s. And despite the organization seemingly attempting to remain in perpetual turmoil, Stafford emerged as one of the best quarterbacks of his era. He topped 5,000 yards in 2011, which marked his first of seven consecutive seasons with at least 4,000 passing yards. As soon as Stafford left Detroit, he won a Super Bowl, despite never winning a playoff game prior to being traded to the Los Angeles Rams. While the prime years of his career likely featured several glasses of scotch, his play has aged like a fine wine as he continues to keep the Rams in the Super Bowl conversation at age 37.”

This Rams’ Position Group is One of the NFL’s Best (si.com)
“Many expected the Rams’ defensive line to fall off following Aaron Donald‘s retirement, but the unit has remained above average thanks to its young players, including a pair of impactful rookies. First-year interior defender Braden Fiske generated pressure on 13.2% of pass plays in 2024, which ranked fifth at the position, while fellow rookie Jared Verse’s 89.3 PFF overall grade placed seventh among edge defenders,” Wasserman said.
“Los Angeles added interior defender Poona Ford in the offseason, and he brings an 85.3 PFF overall grade that ranked fifth among interior defenders this past season.”
