The Colts young QB caught up with a Florida University reporter and provided a positive update on his recovery.
Good news for Colts fans getting ready to head to Grand Park in Westfield to watch the Colts 2025 Training Camp! Fans will get to see Anthony Richardson battle Daniel Jones for the starting QB job earlier than expected.
Zach Goodall of for Swamp 24/7 (Florida University’s branch of 24/7 Sports) on CBS Sports caught up with former Florida and current Colts QB Anthony Richardson on Monday to discuss his latest injury, a reaggravation of his AC joint in his throwing shoulder.
Former #Gators QB Anthony Richardson told me he will be ready for #Colts training camp after missing minicamp with a throwing shoulder injury.
“I’m all good … not really even a bump in the road. I feel like I tripped, I fell. Just got back up and hit the ground running again.”

Richardson himself says he will be ready by Training Camp. His injury has already been reported that it doesn’t need surgery. The original AC joint tear was in 2023 during Week 5 of his rookie year vs the Tennessee Titans, requiring season ending injury. His original doctor who performed the surgery was who Richardson went to for a 2nd opinion on his recent AC joint re-injury, and assured him that surgery was unnecessary.
Ever the optimist, Richardson says it wasn’t even a bump in the road. He is ready to hit the ground running again, and Colts fans should hope the ground doesn’t hit back once again.
