Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
NFL All Quarter Century team: Best 53-man roster, coaches – ESPN
WR TERRELL OWENS: In the 11 seasons Owens played in this quarter century, he recorded three second-place finishes in DYAR and one infamous driveway news conference. He led the league in receiving touchdowns three times, and his 80.3 receiving yards per game ranks sixth among WRs with at least 50 games played since 2000. Owens would play through any injury for this team, as evidenced by his miraculous 122-yard performance in Super Bowl XXXIX after breaking his leg seven weeks earlier. […] C JASON KELCE: Picking our lone center was a fairly straightforward call. While Maurkice Pouncey made the Pro Bowl nine times (versus Kelce’s seven), Kelce’s six first-team All-Pro selections are by far the most of any center — no other player has had more than two since 2000. Kelce helped lead the Eagles to two Super Bowl appearances and revolutionized third- and fourth-and-1s leaguewide with his critical role in the (still permitted!) tush push play. […] RT LANE JOHNSON: Johnson leads all right tackles in Pro Bowl selections since 2000 with six; no other player who primarily played right tackle in that span has more than four. He has perhaps been at his best over the past couple of seasons. In 2023, he led all tackles in run block win rate and was ninth in pass block win rate. Last season, Johnson was fifth among tackles in both run block win rate and pass block win rate. […] S BRIAN DAWKINS: Dawkins delivered some huge hits during his 12 seasons this quarter century, as evidenced by the fact that he forced the second-most fumbles among DBs in our span and finished with the third-most sacks. When Dawkins was on the Eagles from 2000 to ‘08, Philadelphia ranked third in EPA allowed per dropback on defense.
Eagles Question of the Day: How would you rank this team’s top 11 players? – BGN
Today’s Eagles Question of the Day is inspired by SportsRadio 94WIP’s ongoing theme week where they’re ranking the current top 11 Philly sports athletes. Since we’re a Philadelphia Eagles blog, let’s narrow the focus to the Birds: how are you ranking this team’s top 11 players?
Eagles spring leftovers: A new defensive leader and more – NBCSP
A few years ago, Reed Blankenship was fighting to earn a spot on the Eagles’ roster as an undrafted rookie out of Middle Tennessee State. Now, he’s the veteran leader of an extremely young secondary. Blankenship is the guy veteran Darius Slay identified as the potential leader before his departure this offseason. “It’s an honor,” Blankenship said. “I came here with Slay, into the room with Slay. Just seeing how he operates, seeing how he leads. Just trying to model my leadership role like that. You come in to the league and he’s been here for years and you don’t know how he’s going to be but he just came here with open arms, took me under his wing. Like I said, I learned a lot from him. Him saying that, it’s a huge honor. I try my best to teach these guys what I’ve been taught. It’s just one of those things, they can take what I teach them or not. But I always let them know that I’m a strong shoulder to lean on if they need anything. Just to be that guy with the open door policy type of thing.”
2026 NFL Draft: One area every NFL team needs to think about – PFF
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: TIGHT END: The Eagles have the best roster in the NFL once again, even after losing Milton Williams, Darius Slay and Josh Sweat this offseason. When looking forward, tight end Dallas Goedert is an unrestricted free agent next offseason, as is TE2 Grant Calcaterra. The 2026 tight end class isn’t overly strong, but Philadelphia might need one or two regardless.

‘Tough as nails’: Susan Tose Spencer, the NFL’s only woman GM with the Eagles, remembered as a trailblazer – Inquirer
“Susan was tough as nails. She knew how to get things done,” said Leslie Matz, another of the women hired by Tose Spencer in the early 1980s. “She had a challenging task in front of her, trying to make the Eagles fiscally responsible.” Matz eventually became the Eagles’ marketing director and worked for the team for 12 years before being hired by the Carolina Panthers as the team’s director of entertainment and special events. Tose Spencer was also at the center of the 1984 deal that would have moved the Eagles to the Arizona desert. She reportedly negotiated a deal that would have seen Canadian real estate magnate James Monahan buy a 25% stake in the team for $40 million, while Tose would have maintained majority ownership. The catch was, the Eagles would leave the City of Brotherly Love. But Leonard Tose was eventually persuaded to keep the Eagles in Philly — with help from then Philly Mayor W. Wilson Goode. A few months later, Tose and his daughter sold the team for real to Braman.
The 5 O’Clock Club: Getting to know 4th round draft pick, WR Jaylin Lane – Hogs Haven
Because of the tremendous success McLaurin has had in the NFL, many people tend to forget that the Redskins were focused on Terry’s special teams skills when they drafted him in the 3rd round in 2019. Of course, Terry was a gunner; while Jaylin Lane also lines up as a gunner, he is highly regarded as a returner — the guy that McLaurin would have been gunning for on punt coverage. Adam Peters told Lane on his draft day phone call that he was the “top returner on our board”.
BTB Thursday Discussion: What NFC East rival player would you steal if you could? – Blogging The Boys
What current NFC East rival player would you steal to place on the Cowboys if you could? Obviously we all dislike the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders and New York Giants, but we can recognize that each of them has talented players in certain spots. If you had the power to outright steal one and put them on the Cowboys… who would you choose? From a Philadelphia angle there are a lot of choices, but perhaps Saquon Barkley would be the winner. In terms of the Commanders we could consider going with Jayden Daniels. The New York Giants are trying very hard.
Stock up, stock down: Who gained, lost ground during Giants spring practices? – Big Blue View
STOCK UP: Jaxson Dart — The rookie signal-caller and hopeful future of the franchise at the position had had a successful spring. Not a perfect one, a successful one. Dart has made plenty of brilliant plays, and a fair share of bad ones. He looks, though, like a confident, comfortable player who has a chance to become a good quarterback. “I feel like I’ve made tremendous strides especially from my first day to now, just being able to understand the pictures of the offense and whatnot,” Dart said. “I think the biggest thing is there’s a lot of times where you’re making a throw and you feel confident, and you have guys on the other end who are extremely talented, great playmakers who either break a pass up or make a great play on it. So, I think probably the biggest thing is just the qualities and just the overall athleticism on the other side of the ball.”
Broncos sign former UFL CB Mario Goodrich – Mile High Report
The former Clemson cornerback went undrafted during the 2022 NFL Draft and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He would spend two seasons with the Eagles while playing in four games for them during that span, but would be waived by the team last July during Eagles training camp. He was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants but was waived with an injury designation during the final cutdown period. He would not join another roster during the 2024 NFL season but would sign a contract with the UFL and join the Birmingham Stallions. Now, with the UFL season in the books, Goodrich is getting another shot in the NFL, this time with the Denver Broncos.
5-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman says Jared Verse drove him into retirement – SB Nation
Former Miami Dolphins’ OT Terron Armstead didn’t hesitate when asked about three players that made him glad to retire this offseason. The former All-Pro left tackle has locked horns with the best defensive linemen in the business, yet one guy stood out last season: Los Angeles Rams’ EDGE Jared Verse.
