It’s been a long time since a goose egg
One of the greats joys for an NFL team is to pitch a shutout.
For a defense to completely shut down an opposing team for four quarters and to keep this off the scoreboard is a joyous occasion. Yet, it’s a feeling that the Las Vegas Raiders organization hasn’t experienced for more than a decade.
As pointed out by NFL analyst Warren Sharp in a recent tweet, it’s been 13 years since the Raiders’ defense has pulled off a shutout. It’s one of the longest droughts in the NFL. Here is the full list:

13 years. Wow.
Here’s the details of the last Raiders’ defensive shutout: It happened in Oakland, on December 16, 2012 as the the Raiders blanked the Kansas City Chiefs 15-0 in Week 15 of a season the Raiders finished 4-12.
It’s time for Patrick Graham’s unit to end this shutout-less streak.
