Rams are built for a Super Bowl run now, what if they miss?

The Los Angeles Rams are built to win now, and if they don’t, the future may not be so bright

The Los Angeles Rams are built to win the Super Bowl this upcoming season, but if the Rams can’t deliver the goods in February ‘26, I’ll have concerns about this team bringing home a Super Bowl in the future, especially if this is Matthew Stafford’s last season.

The Rams CAN win now, but WILL they?

It’s never easy to get to the final game of the season, and whereas I am not convinced that the Rams WILL beat the Philadelphia Eagles, I think they CAN. What’s more is I think the Rams CAN beat any team in the NFC. WILL they? That’s why they play the games.

In the AFC, I am not convinced the Rams WILL beat whoever they face, but I think they CAN, so I know this team has a chance win it all with Stafford because I’ve seen it, and I think he CAN do it again if the Rams and Stafford find themselves in Stafford’s second Super Bowl.

But if Stafford and the Rams don’t deliver this season, and he leaves, then what?

Despite how some draft analysts and your friends at the bar may make it seem, finding a Super Bowl winning quarterback is not like finding an apple on an apple tree. Few quarterbacks make the big game, even less win it.

I am of the opinion Stafford can make a run again with players like Jared Verse on defense and Sean McVay leading the franchise.

But if the Rams fall short, then what? Do they roll again with Stafford? Would Stafford want to go through another season after such a crushing loss? Plus, if Stafford plays to February, what confidence is there that he’ll be ready to go again by September?

The last time the Rams hoisted the Lombardi Trophy their follow-up season didn’t even include a playoff appearance.

There is no guarantee the Rams will find another quarterback to lead the team after Stafford is gone

Make no mistake, if healthy, this team has a chance to win it all now, but if they don’t, and if Stafford’s time is done after this campaign, who knows how long it will be until this team finds their next Super Bowl winning quarterback?

It’s only June, I am getting ahead of myself, but then again, it’s June, what better time to speculate about this season and beyond?

The games will be here before we know it, and we’ll get answers then, whether the team and the fans like those answers is to be determined.
