Kolton Miller sends message to Raiders

Left tackle doesn’t want to leave Las Vegas

Kolton Miller has been working in good faith for most of this offseason and Tuesday he expressed his feeling and goal verbally.

Talking to reporters after the first day of the Raiders’ mandatory minicamp, the standout left tackle made his goals clear. Miller, speaking publicly for the first time this offseason, told reports “I want to be a Raider for life. I don’t want to go anywhere else.”

Miller made some news when he decided to skip the start voluntary offseason workouts because of his contract situation. But he has attended most of the offseason workout sessions. While other players who are seeking new deals are staying away the the mandatory camp, Miller is showing up.

Now, we’ll see how the Raiders proceed. Miller is entering the final season of a three-year, $54 million contract that included $42 million in guaranteed money that has all been paid out.

The Raiders drafted tackles Caleb Rogers and Charles Grant in the third round of the April draft, so they could opt to wait and see to make a call on the future of Miller, who turns 30 in October, after the season.

Yet, the player has made it clear what he wants.
