GMFB’s Kyle Brandt calls Sean McVay ‘best coach in the NFL’

Kyle Brandt called Sean McVay the “best coach in the NFL” and I don’t think that’s a spicy take

It’s hard to be the best at something, but according to Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football, there is no debate that the Los Angeles Rams have “the best coach in the NFL” when it comes to Sean McVay.

I am going to guess that Kansas City Chiefs fans will roll their eyes and point to Andy Reid. San Francisco 49ers fans can say that Kyle Shanahan would be the top coach if his team could finish in a Super Bowl.

Heck, Philadelphia Eagles fans may say Nick Sirianni is the top dog in the sport, when those same fans aren’t screaming for Sirianni to get fired. Gotta love Philly fans.

In a sport that has so much turnover, and one champion each year, it’s hard to say who the best is, but McVay is up there.

L.A.’s head coach is entering his ninth NFL season at the age of 39, and already he’s been to two Super Bowls, won one (losing the other to Bill Belichick who is perhaps the greatest coach of all time), he has 80 regular season wins to go against 52 losses with a playoff record of 7-4.

If McVay’s not a Hall of Fame coach yet, he’s on track.

People can disagree that McVay is the “best” coach in today’s NFL, but I think everyone should agree that McVay is one of the best going, and what he’s done in his short amount of time has already changed the league.

Whether it’s leading to younger coaches getting head coaching chances or changing the landscape of NFL offenses, McVay’s left his mark on the sport even if he walked away today.

Maybe you don’t think McVay is the best coach and that’s fine, I’ll tell you I think he’s the best coach for the Rams, and fans should hope that doesn’t change anytime soon.
