How do Jaxson Dart, Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston look? All eyes are on the Giants’ quarterbacks this spring, summer — and season. They will determine the team’s ability to compete and the futures of coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen.
The Giants will get a better look at how Dart compares with starter Wilson at minicamp. “They’ll all get reps,” Daboll said about minicamp, which starts next week. That includes Tommy DeVito, who has been alongside Dart with the third-team offense at OTAs.

Wan’Dale Robinson could have a different kind of Giants breakout with Russell Wilson | New York Post
“Wan’Dale is like a running back: Every time he touches the ball, he’s hard to tackle,” Wilson said. “His ability to make people miss, his ability to get away from guys and his ability to escape. I’ve played with some guys like that before.”

“I think that when you come into a situation like this, first of all, I’m in a super special position to be able to learn from guys like Russ (Wilson), Jameis (Winston), and Tommy (DeVito), guys who have competed at the highest level,” Dart said. “Russ winning the Super Bowl, and, you know, to kind of pick their brains each and every day has been awesome for me, especially for how young I am. But I think that my focus right now is to try to develop each and every day and do whatever I can to make the team better, and I just want to win. I can’t stand losing, and I’m gonna do whatever it takes, to not let that happen. So whatever my role is, I’m gonna play the best way that I can.”
NFC rookies picked after Round 1 of the NFL Draft who could earn key roles in 2025 | CBSSports.com
New York Giants: DL Darius Alexander. Alexander was ubiquitous on the Toledo defense during his time with the Rockets. Rushing off the edge, aligning at linebacker, sinking into coverage, playing nose tackle. Name a front-seven duty, and he executed it over the past four seasons in the MAC.
Dexter Lawrence, Brian Burns, and rookie Abdul Carter have distinct roles on the Giants defensive front. Alexander will be an amoeba for New York in 2025 and beyond. Plus, he’s a high-caliber athlete who had a 40-yard dash, vertical, and broad jump all above the 75th percentile at the interior defensive line position.

Signing Paulson Adebo. The G-Men will ultimately sink or swim depending on what Brian Daboll can squeeze out of Joe Schoen’s entirely rebooted quarterback room. And taking a first-round flyer on Jaxson Dart’s dual-threat potential could pay off, even with Russell Wilson in place as the passing placeholder. For now, Adebo looks like the best bet to make an immediate impact as a proven ballhawk at cornerback.

New York Giants: S Jason Pinnock. Pinnock played 95% of New York’s defensive snaps in each of the last two seasons. He was seemingly less effective the more he got on the field, though, so the Giants replaced him with the more versatile Jevon Holland, and that should help improve Shane Bowen’s defense.
Greg Cosell: Jevon Holland is a five-tool player
“Jevon Holland at his best is what we call a five tool safety.”

2025 Giants game-by-game predictions: All gasps, no breaks … and lots of pain | FOX Sports
Ralph Vacchiano sees the Giants final record prediction as 6-11.
The real shame of this Giants season is if they had a schedule that was just a little easier — maybe just two or three more soft-ish games — they’d have a shot to really show some legitimate improvement. They should get much better quarterback play. Their offensive line should be better. They’ve really upgraded their defense, too. But they are trying to dig out of a 3-14 hole against an absolutely brutal, punishing schedule that barely gives them a break along the way.
The Giants will be a better team, but the progress will be incremental. And that’s a big problem for Schoen and Daboll, who are sitting on very hot seats. Mara is going to have to decide whether he wants to look past another ugly record and try to sell his disillusioned fan base on hard-to-see progress, or whether he wants to undergo yet another franchise overhaul.
Ex-Giants WR Golden Tate opens up on tift with star Jalen Ramsey over sister | NJ.com
The two eventually met on the field at SoFi Stadium when the Giants played the Los Angeles Rams, who Ramsey played for at the time, in Week 4 of the 2020 season. After the game ended with a 17-9 Rams win, the two sought each other out to have a discussion that ultimately ended with a fight.
“The game ends, I run up there to expect what was going to happen,” Tate said. “I’m seeing where he at, I went right up to him with my helmet on and he swings, but I knew he was going to swing, so I duck, and I went to dump him, and the next thing you know, they had everybody on us, so they separated us. … Everybody knew what was going to happen.”
