Adios, amigo.
The Cincinnati Bengals have finally made a decision on Germaine Pratt.
According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, the Bengals are cutting Pratt.
Pratt had previously requested a trade, and it appeared the Bengals attempted to facilitate one, but no deal ever happened, as no team likely wanted to take on his 2025 cap hit of $8,183,334.
Then the team went out and acquired Oren Burks in free agency, followed by the selections of linebackers Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter in the 2025 NFL Draft, signaling it was a matter of when, not if, the Bengals would let Pratt go.
Now, Pratt is free to find his next home, and you have to think he’ll take a hard look at reuniting with Lou Anarumo, who is now the Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator.
Best of luck to Playoff P as he searches for his new NFL home!
