From Roman Gabriel to Matthew Stafford, who are your favorite Rams players and why?
The Los Angeles, St. Louis, Cleveland Rams have one of the most legendary histories of any franchise in the NFL. Over the past 89 seasons, the Rams have reached five Super Bowls, won two of those, won two other NFL championships, and produced many of the league’s best all-time players such as Deacon Jones, Aaron Donald, Isaac Bruce, Orlando Pace, Jack Youngblood, Merlin Olsen, Eric Dickerson, and countless others.
In perfect step with the team, the Rams fan community is also one of the best in the NFL and that’s reflected in the comments section at Turf Show Times everyday.
The fans here have not only experienced L.A.’s recent Super Bowl win in 2021 with Matthew Stafford, and don’t just go back as far as Kurt Warner’s Super Bowl win in 1999, but many of you have taught others here (including the writing staff) about the days of Jones, Youngblood, Olsen, Roman Gabriel, and others from the Rams’ string of successful seasons in the 70s and earlier.
Today is YOUR DAY to get to highlight why the Rams have one of the best player histories of any team in the National Football League.
I’ll post six questions in the comments section below asking you about your favorite players from each era of the Rams. All you have to do is answer them and share your story. Who are your favorite players? Who are the most forgotten and underrated? If you don’t want to answer, then do yourself a favor and READ! You — like me — could learn something today.
