Are we about to get an Aaron Donald, Jared Verse workout video?

For a Los Angeles Rams writer and fan, this story could not come at a better time.

As fans, talking heads and writers alike all wait for the new NFL season, a fun development has been taking shape in the world of Los Angeles Rams fans. Jared Verse and Aaron Donald have been playfully sending barbs towards each other, challenging the other to working out, seemingly questioning the other’s ability to keep up.

My understanding is that Verse started this back and forth when he responded to an Adam Schefter question about if Verse and Donald are planning on working out together?

Replied Verse,

“No, he don’t want that. He’s not ready for that. He’s not ready for that,” Verse said. “That little 500 bench he had. He’s not ready for that. I’ll be moving weight. I’ll be moving weight. Whenever he’s ready for a workout – I’ll be seeing his little Instagram posts, the dumbbell benches. He can get at me whenever he’s ready.”

Now, Verse must’ve known what he was doing because has Donald ever backed down from a challenge?

“Come to the house, I just wanna talk.” Responded the future Hall of Famer.

As we get to know Verse, he has shown he too is not afraid to take on the competition. Verse went ahead and doubled down on his take of being able to keep up with AD, and then some, if he did workout with #99.

Challenge accepted.

“Give me a date and time.” said the budding superstar.

For my money, the soundbite of the offseason has to be former Rams assistant (now Jacksonville Jaguars head coach) Liam Cohen saying “DUUUVAL”, but the story of the offseason specifically for Rams fans? That may have to go to Verse and Donald challenging each other to what I can only assume is some of the hardest workouts a human can do.

If anything does transpire, I hope they share, I’d love to know how it goes between a Rams’ icon, and a player who wishes to attain that same status in the seasons to come.
