Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 5/27/25
I hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend, and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times! I didn’t see too much news yesterday but I found a link talking about Quentin Lake and I went with that.
Lake has been a fantastic young player since joining the Los Angeles Rams a couple seasons ago. After his upcoming third season he could be in line for an extension with the Rams. Or, perhaps L.A. will draft around him and plan to let him walk.
What do you think will happen with Lake? Will he be extended by L.A. or be on another team instead?
Please comment on whatever you want and thanks again for checking out Turf Show Times!
The Rams Can Not Afford to Let Quentin Lake Go (si.com)
“I promise you, if Rams’ captain Quentin Lake is not re-signed by the franchise, he will be signed within 48 hours of the opening minute of free agency.
Let’s not mince words here, nothing is guaranteed but Lake likely has at least three future homes lined up for him if he doesn’t get extended.
The first home is wherever Chris Shula becomes a head coach at. Lake is Shula’s defensive captain, he understands the system, he’s the signal caller and it would be like bringing another coach with Shula that Shula can deploy on the field.”

Jobs in doubt, underappreciated players and more LA Rams news for Cardinals fans to know (cardswire)
“It is the end of another NFL offseason week, this time a holiday weekend, which means it is a good time to check in with the Arizona Cardinals’ division rivals in the NFC West. What has been going on with the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams?
Below are a few stories from the last week about the Rams that Cardinals fans should know.
Rams don’t need ‘Tush Push’
While there was a lot of talk about the famed “Tush Push” quarterback sneak play because of an owners vote that resulted in the play continuing to be legal, the Rams, who don’t use the play, have been the most successful short-yardage team in the last three seasons.”

Former BYU Star, 23, Turns Heads Playing Hoops During NFL Offseason (athlonsports)
“Puka Nacua is turning heads, but this time not on the football field. The former BYU Cougars standout and current Los Angeles Rams All-Pro wide receiver recently showed off his basketball skills in a viral video.
The moment left many fans asking a surprising question if Nacua belong in the NBA? His quick first step, and explosive take to the hoop made it clear. This isn’t just a football player having fun; this is a high-level athlete dominating another sport.”
