Two Dolphins players take home orange jersey honors during first OTA session of 2025.
The Miami Dolphins are back in action on the practice fields in Miami Gardens, Florida! With the return of voluntary offseason training activities, it also marks the return of Miami’s prestigious orange jersey award given to the previous session’s best practice performer!
And today we received a very first for the orange jersey award during Mike McDaniel’s tenure as the team’s head coach — a DOUBLE WINNER! That’s right… two Dolphins players were rocking the orange threads at practice today!
Who were they?
Without further ado, today’s recipients of Miami’s orange jersey award were… EDGE rusher Jaelan Phillips and cornerback Ethan Bonner!
As Phillips returns from an ACL injury he suffered last season, it’s a welcomed development to see that he’s already impressing his teammates and coaches. Similarly, with Bonner’s 2024 season hampered by multiple injuries, it’s a pleasant surprise to see him making an impact in a defensive back room that desperately needs an individual to step up.
We will be tracking which players receive the orange jersey honor as the offseason progresses. Want to help? Hit us up on Twitter/X at @thephinsider, or reach out to Marek Brave directly at @MBrave13, and let us know who is rocking the jersey with pride each day! Fins up!
