Congratulations to the happy couple!
Before the new starting quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings takes over long-term ownership of the NFC North, he’s going to be looking at a couple of even larger commitments off the field.
J.J. McCarthy and his fiancée, Katya Kuropas, took to Instagram earlier this week to announce that they are expecting their first child, a son who is due in September.
McCarthy and Kuropas have been together since high school and got engaged in January of 2024. The Vikings drafted McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft a few months after that, and he’s now set to take over as the Vikings’ starting quarterback after missing his entire rookie season with a meniscus tear.
With this announcement, McCarthy is going to have even more on his plate as the start of the 2025 NFL season approaches. However, I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that he’ll be able to handle everything just fine.
