New Pete Carroll assistant will work with analytics
The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Pete Carroll as their new head coach. He is building his new staff. He has reportedly hired Ryan Paganetti as in an analytics role.
Let’s get to know Paganetti better:
Last job:
He was the Jacksonville Jaguars director of football analytics.
Ties to new Raiders staff:
He was with the Philadelphia Eagles when new Las Vegas offensive coordinator Chip Kelly was their head coach a decade ago.
What’s his duties:
He will work with analytics with an expected big role in game-day management, assisting the coaching staff with data based on in-game situations.
Why the Raiders would hire him:
This is way the league has gone. Every staff has people like Paganetti as part of the program. Raiders head coach Pete Carroll clearly trusts Kelly’s opinion and the Raiders feel strongly that Paganetti’s knowledge and opinion can be trusted and be part of the game-day process.
