Nabers is only Giant to make the list
In Pro Football Focus’s latest ranking of the NFL’s top 25 players under 25, wide receiver Malik Nabers comes in at No. 15. He is the only New York Giant on the list and a rising star who’s already changing the face of the franchise.
The list features dominant young talents. But Nabers holds his own with an 87.0 PFF grade and a 0.56 average Wins Above Replacement (WAR) since 2022, both elite-level metrics for his age group.
In fact, PFF points out that Nabers led the entire 2024 rookie wide receiver class in both PFF receiving grade (87.1) and targets (165). PFF said Nabers was “the best of the bunch” in a stacked rookie wide receiver class.
New York has been searching for a true No. 1 receiver since the days of Odell Beckham Jr. and based on early returns, Nabers is already filling that void. In a year where the Giants struggled to find consistent offense, the former LSU standout emerged as the team’s most valuable player by PFF’s WAR metric, and it wasn’t even close.
He became the go-to target regardless of matchup, showing off advanced route running, yards after catch ability, and toughness over the middle.
Nabers is under team control for several more years, and with a young offensive core starting to take shape, the Giants have a building block they can count on.
