Angela Baker moves on, Brandon Beane’s son hired
The New York Giants have recently lost an assistant coach and gained a new scout.
Angela Baker, an assistant with the Giants since 2022, has left the team. A former star player for the Pittsburgh Passion in the Women’s Football Alliance, a full-contact pro league, Baker was hired as an offensive quality control coach. She was promoted to offensive assistant in 2023, and did a lot of work with the team’s tight ends.
Jordan Ranaan of ESPN reported that Baker “left the organization to pursue other opportunities.”
The Giants have also added Tyson Beane, son of Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane, as a scouting assistant. Giants GM Joe Schoen, of course, worked under Brandon Beane in Buffalo.
Mike Derice, a national scout with the Giants from 2022-2024, recently left the Giants organization.
