Rams will face Cowboys, Chargers, and Browns…
The Los Angeles Rams announced their 2025 regular season schedule yesterday evening. LA also found out who their preseason opponents will be for August. Although these games do not mean nearly as much and arguably should be less of them, they do carry weight for players trying to earn a spot on the 53 man roster.
The team’s 2025 preseason schedule will be the following:
Preseason Week 1
The Rams will host the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, August 9th at 7:00pm EST. The Rams frequently match up with the Dallas Cowboys in the preseason and they will do so again in 2025. This is due to the Cowboys mini camp practices taking place in Oxnard, California. The close proximity (1 hour 30 minutes) to Los Angeles makes a lot of sense.
Preseason Week 2
For their second preseason game, the Rams will face off against their in-town AFC partners – the Los Angeles Chargers. Since the Rams “share” their stadium with the Chargers, this is another no-brainer in the two teams squaring off in preseason action. The Rams will host this year’s game on Saturday, August 16th at 7:00pm EST.
This is typically a game in which Sean McVay will hand over Head Coaching responsibilities to one of his assistants. Last year, Aubrey Pleasant was given the honor of filling McVay’s role.
Preseason Week 3
LA’s lone road preseason game will be against the Cleveland Browns. The last time the two teams faced in the preseason was in 2014 when the Rams were in St. Louis. The Rams defeated the Browns 33-14. Back in 2010, the Rams lost Sam Bradford to his second ACL tear in a preseason matchup with Cleveland. I don’t expect Matthew Stafford to play in such a game though. The Rams/Browns game will start at 1:00pm EST.
Fans looking to attend these games can find tickets here on the Rams homepage.
