
Over the weekend, Saints QB Derek Carr announced he would be retiring from the NFL.
About a month ago, it was announced that New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr was dealing with an injury that put his 2025 availability in jeopardy. With a labral tear and rotator cuff damage, Carr made the decision to step away from the football field. The Saints made contingency plans for this situation as the team drafted Tyler Shough in the second round of the NFL Draft last month and the rookie should be the most likely candidate to start for the Saints this upcoming season.
