Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 5/13/25

Would the Los Angeles Rams have beaten the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs last year if Braden Fiske didn’t get hurt? We’ll never know. What we do know is Fiske did get hurt, and the Eagles went on to win. That’s what happened, but in another universe maybe Fiske doesn’t get hurt, and maybe his healthy presence helps lead L.A. to the win.

Now, Fiske is trying to recover and come back stronger, so, what do you think? Would the Rams have won against the Eagles with a healthy Fiske? Do you expect Fiske to get back stronger or will he regress? Was the Rams trade for Fiske worth it so far? Or did they pay too much?

Please comment on whatever you want, thank you for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Tuesday!

Braden Fiske Is Focused Heading Into Next Season (si.com)

“Last year in the NFL draft, the Los Angeles Rams decided to reunite their first-round pick, Jared Verse, with his college teammate Braden Fiske, and they took him in the second round. A year later, Verse has the potential to be the best edge rusher in the NFL, Fiske looks like he’ll be the Robin to Verse’s Batman.

Both Verse and Fiske had amazing rookie seasons, which ended up with both of them being DROY finalists. Ultimately, Fiske didn’t win the award, but I’m sure he’s happy for his close friend regardless. In 2024, Fiske had 44 total tackles with two forced fumbles and 8.5 sacks.”

“Los Angeles Rams star edge rusher Jared Verse showed up to meet his newest teammates in style.

The 2024 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year wore a full suit during the Rams’ rookie minicamp to set the tone for himself and the team.

“Somebody got to set the standard,” Verse said. “We got rooks in the building today.”

Los Angeles Rams DB Reveals His Top 2 Matthew Stafford Nicknames (lafbnetwork)

“If safety Quentin Lake had a vote, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford would be a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Lake didn’t hesitate when asked if the veteran quarterback belongs in Canton: “One hundred percent. [He’s] easily a Hall of Famer.” Lake, entering his fourth year with LA, sees Stafford’s greatness every day and even dropped a few nicknames that teammates use to describe the QB’s unique skill set.

Los Angeles Rams: Quentin Lake Talks Matthew Stafford

“There’s a nickname that makes a lot of sense — ‘Mr. Long Handoffs,’ because his deep throws are just routine,” Lake said. “And ‘Mr. No-Look,’ because he manipulates defenders with his eyes like no one else. It’s normal for him.”

Lake praised Stafford’s all-around legacy — both on and off the field — and said he has “no doubt” the 16-year veteran will one day don a gold jacket. “He’s got a Super Bowl, a fantastic career, great father, great teammate. In my mind, no doubt about it.”
