You know the Giants will get some national games

Whether they are good or bad, because of their market the New York Giants always end up in the primetime national TV spotlight a few times every NFL season.

Which 2025-2026 season Giants games should end up in a primetime spot? Let’s discount the NFC East games — any of those are primetime possibilities.

Here are a few other possibilities.

Giants at Denver Broncos

This one is a Monday Night Football suggestion from Pro Football and Sports Network. PFSN writes:

Despite mostly struggling for the last decade, the New York Giants are ensured of being featured in a few marquee spots by virtue of their status as an iconic franchise in the biggest media market. Any NFC East game is always ripe for potential selection, while historic rivals like the Packers and 49ers could get featured as well.

However, we’ll go a little outside the box and pinpoint a road trip to Denver as a Monday Night Football target. The main storyline would be Russell Wilson facing the Broncos and Sean Payton for the first time since his disastrous two-year stint with the franchise ended. Both sides are in a better place now, as both the Broncos and Wilson ended up in the postseason in 2024 after their divorce.

A more under-the-radar storyline here revolves around a pair of exciting young defenses. The Broncos were the top-ranked defense in PFSN’s rankings last season, and return the core of that elite unit. Meanwhile, the Giants could boast one of the best pass rushes in the NFL after drafting Abdul Carter and Darius Alexander to join the trio of Dexter Lawrence, Brian Burns, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

That might be an interesting one. If Wilson is playing well and still has his job, the Wilson-Denver storyline is a natural hook. If the games and Jaxson Dart has taken over at quarterback, there is a Dart vs. Bo Nix young quarterback storyline.

Giants at Chicago Bears

Two historic NFL franchises. Two teams with reasons for optimism that they are going to be better in 2025 than in 2024. Whether Dart is playing or not, the potential for a Dart-Caleb Williams storyline is there.

Giants at Patriots

Another matchup of teams trying to build their way back to respectability. There is also a lot of history between these two teams. Plus, the possibility of a Dart-Drake Maye storyline, the quarterback the Giants got in 2025 and the one they tried to trade up and get in 2024.

Giants vs. Chiefs

The list needed a home game. The Chiefs are the best non-NFC East team on the home schedule. So, Chiefs it is.

Which non-NFC East game or games would you like to see the Giants get in primetime?
