Player performance
Josh Jacobs spent the first five seasons of his career with the Las Vegas Raiders before joining the Packers in 2024. He was often a two-down running back with the Raiders, but he was the offensive centerpiece on those early downs. Jacobs was productive thanks to his ability to avoid tackles. In three of his first four seasons, he had 0.26 avoided tackles per attempt or better on over 200 attempts. Over the last six seasons, James Conner is the only other running back to accomplish that more than once.
