Let’s talk about it!
As we start preparing for the 2025 NFL season, we’ve learned the Philadelphia Eagles will kick things off with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys. It’ll be a Thursday night season opener at Lincoln Financial Field on September 4.
Playing an NFC East rival in Week 1 has some pros and cons, but having Dak Prescott and Co. in the building as the Eagles hang their Super Bowl Championship banner will be pretty sweet.
The Eagles and Cowboys have faced off nine times since Jalen Hurts took the reins as QB1 in Philly, but he and Prescott have only actually faced off three times. Competing in Week 1 gives each quarterback the best opportunity to be available for the matchup.
Regardless of what happens on the field, one thing is for sure, opening night tailgating is going to be off the charts. Plus, the rest of the off-season kind of serves as Beat Dallas week(s), and that’s always fun.
