Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 5/9/25
The Los Angeles Rams seem set at their top receiver spots with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, but who will be pass catcher #3? Will Tutu Atwell have the best year of his career? Could it be some combination of Terrance Ferguson and Tyler Higbee? What about Kyren Williams?
It’s a fun thought because I don’t think the Rams are in a bad spot here, but they do have some space for other players to step up, and help take the offense to a height it wasn’t quite able to reach consistently in 2024.
Of course, there is a chance that 2024’s team has a better offense than the 2025 team, but I think the Rams have every intention to improve upon last year’s campaign. We’ll see if their dream comes true.

NFL analyst thinks this is the Rams’ missing piece following the 2025 Draft (ramswire/yahoo)
“Davante Adams was a huge addition, but the departures of Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson produced a net loss of one starting wide receiver. Tutu Atwell is now the No. 3 option. He had a solid 2024 with 11.7% receiving DVOA to go with 42 catches for 562 yards, but he’s not regarded as a starting option around the league. And the depth behind him is poor.
“Jordan Whittington had 22 catches for 293 yards as a sixth-round rookie in 2024, but Xavier Smith had only two catches for 6 yards. The Rams didn’t draft a receiver until selecting Konata Mumpfield in Round 7. Los Angeles might not need a No. 3 receiver that often, though, as drafting Terrance Ferguson in Round 2 indicates more two-TE personnel groupings.”

Rams Minicamp in Hawaii is Perfect for Team Building (si.com)
“As part of the partnership, Mauicamp Powered by the Hawai’i Tourism Authority will take place from Monday, June 16 to Thursday, June 19 when the Rams bring their Minicamp to Maui. On Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18, the Rams will host on-field team activities that will feature players in workout gear at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku.”
This event is perfect for the Rams. Football is such a physically and mentally demanding sport that teams start to burn out at the end of the season due to all the work they put in leading up to that point. Taking their efforts to a different environment and at a different pace is a perfect way to break up the daily grind.”

Rams named potential landing spot in a trade for underrated LB (ramswire)
“L.A.’s group of Troy Reeder, Omar Speights, Nate Landman and fifth-round rookie Chris Paul might be enough, but Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox writes that the Rams could also be a landing spot for Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt in a trade.
“Pratt should interest just about any team in need of a quality off-ball linebacker,” Knox wrote. “The Bengals defensive tallied 143 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles in 2024, and he has played at least 15 games in all six of his NFL campaigns.
“The Los Angeles Rams may also want to kick the tires on Pratt. They entered the offseason needing to upgrade their defensive back seven, but they didn’t draft an off-ball linebacker before taking Mississippi’s Chris Paul Jr. in the fifth round.”
