That is a surprising move to get to 90-man roster limit
After signing 13 undrafted free agents, the New York Giants needed to release one more player on Friday to get to the 90-man offseason roster limit. The move they reportedly made, cutting wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey, is a surprise.
Humphrey, a six-year veteran, signed with the Giants as a free agent this offseason. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Humphrey had 31 receptions last season for the Denver Broncos, and has 62 receptions for the Broncos, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints.
The Giants did not draft any wide receivers, but five of the 13 undrafted free agents the team signed are wide receivers.
Jordan Bly, Antwane Wells, Dalen Cambre, Beaux Collins and Da’Quan Felton are the undrafted wide receivers signed by the team.
The Giants held their first rookie minicamp practice on Friday, and will be back on the field Saturday for the final practice of minicamp. Keep coming back for all of our minicamp coverage.
