Raiders add defensive tackle depth piece
The Las Vegas Raiders have signed veteran defensive tackle Leki Fotu as a free agent this offseason.
Let’s take a closer look at Fotu:
Size:
6-5, 335 pounds.
NFL experience:
Fotu has played in the NFL for five seasons. He was a fourth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2020. He signed a one=-year contract with the New York Jets in 2024. Fotu has played in 58 NFL games with 22 starts. He played just two games with the Jets because he was put on the injured reserve two different times.
College:
He went to Utah and was a two-time first-team All-Pac 12 selection.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
Fotu, who turns 27 in August, should be a rotational player for the Raiders at defensive tackle. He is a massive body who is solid against the run. He could start if there are injuries, but expect him do get some defensive snaps on a weekly basis.
