The Las Vegas Raiders have recently signed veteran tight end Ian Thomas as a free agent recently.

NFL experience:
Thomas has spent his entire seven-season career with the Carolina Panthers. He was a fourth-round draft pick in 2018. He has 119 receptions in his career. He had a a career-high 36 catches as a rookie. He missed a total of 17 games due to injury in the past two seasons and had a total of eight catches during that time span. He has played in 99 NFL games with 54 starts.
College:
He went to Indiana, where he played for two seasons after starting his career at a junior college.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
Thomas, who turns 29 in June, is a solid veteran who can catch the ball when needed and who is a good blocker and he plays special teams. He should be a solid backup for Las Vegas.
