Jonathan Gannon burns Philly once again.
Well, it was fun to think about the Philadelphia Eagles landing Walter Nolen while it lasted.
The Ole Miss defensive tackle, a very popular first-round target for the Birds, will NOT be headed to Philly because he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 16 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Nolen joins former Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, who played a big role in Philly losing Super Bowl LVII. Thanks a lot, JG.
It’s not like the Eagles are now screwed because they can’t get Nolen. There are still a number of intriguing options on the board.
We’ll see if they make it down to No. 32. Or if Howie Roseman decides to trade up for someone. Nolen definitely felt like a potential trade up target. Perhaps now the Birds are more likely to stick and pick … or trade out of the first round entirely.
